Our first customer day was a great success!

On September 15, we held our very first customer day at the Center for Real Estate - and we couldn't be happier with the result. Attendance was very good, and it was a pleasure to meet so many of our customers in person.
The day consisted of professional presentations, good conversations and constructive input that gives us valuable insight into how we can further develop our solutions. We really appreciate the commitment and feedback that was shared.

The day was opened by Renate Johnsen, followed by a status update from Lars Gaden on the status of Fazile to date and going forward.

Experiences from Malling

Cathrine Kildalsen from Malling shared the story of Fazile's journey: from the search for a new management system in 2017, via the decision to develop it in-house in 2018, to the first customer with a live solution in 2022. She shared her experiences from the project, and also emphasized the importance of a pilot project. Last but not least, she shared experiences from a customer perspective with great satisfaction from the managers, that Fazile is a flexible system with many automation options and that Malling has achieved an average savings of 36%.

Industry perspective and challenges

Norsk Eiendom is the mouthpiece of the real estate industry - and right now they have a lot to shout about. Interest rates are high, the krona is weak and new home sales are so slow that even the snails are losing confidence. We were lucky enough to be visited by lawyer Sven Magnus Rivertz, who gave us an update.

They fight for simpler rules, less tax, shorter planning processes and cheaper green buildings.

In a nutshell: Norsk Eiendom strives to make everyday life easier for its members - and also better cooperation with partners.

Digitalization and technological solutions

IT Manager Silje Pettersen from Reitan eiendom led the implementation of Fazile and told us about the growth ambitions, the role of digitalization and the use of technology in this context, and shared some experiences from our work to modernize our IT architecture. Reitan eiendom has a vision to become the largest and most value-driven real estate company, with just under 180 employees today, involved in just over 2 million square meters of real estate. They changed both their ERP and management system at the same time, and chose Xledger and Fazile.

Odd Elstad from Adaptic talked about how Adaptic is working to simplify and automate tenant invoicing - and how integration with Fazile will make this something that actually works in everyday life. Adaptic offers a digital platform for energy monitoring, reporting and distribution of energy costs in commercial and industrial buildings.

Robert Skramstad from Malling made the trip to tell us about the pulse of proptech and what's happening in the market. Proptech is everything that can make buildings smarter - from the drawing board to demolition. The problem? The industry has a bit of a tech hangover: costs are up, capital is down, and start-up companies have received a double whammy.

But there is hope! Tenants want data, ESG reporting and offices that actually entice people to show up. The government is throwing on new security requirements (hello NIS2 and DORA!) and we need to keep up - or be digitally left behind.

In short: Proptech is still hot - but the champagne is over. Now they need to deliver value, not just hype.

Renate Straume took to the stage with an inspiring talk on sustainability! She showed how Varig creates added value by making sustainability work easier, saving time in operation and highlighting the effects of good ownership. In Varig, you automatically collect data about your buildings and get a clear and comprehensive overview of their environmental impact, based on emission factors that are easy to compare.

Panel discussion and system integration

We ran a panel debate between Geir Haglid of Xledger and Håvard Høllen Sjøen 24/ Seven Office with Lars Gaden as moderator. It was based on how companies can best meet future demands for efficiency, flexibility and scalability in financial and business systems.

  • Xledger emphasized the importance of cloud-based solutions that provide businesses with increased mobility, automation and cost efficiency. They highlighted how their platform can reduce manual processes, ensure a better overview in real time and provide management with a better basis for decision-making.
  • 24SO highlighted the importance of integrations and user-friendliness, arguing that systems must be adaptable to different business models without becoming too complex. They also pointed out that close collaboration with customers is crucial to developing solutions that are actually used effectively in everyday life.

The discussion revealed that both parties agreed that automation and data-driven insights will be key factors going forward. At the same time, they differed when it came to how much standardization versus flexibility should form the basis of the systems.

Real estate operations are often complex and require collaboration between different stakeholders to maintain accurate data and effective communication. Fragmented systems and outdated solutions have long been a challenge in the industry. Jarle Braathen from Bim2Share, Kristoffer Moe Lundquist from Propely and Renate Johnsen from Fazile took to the stage to show how digital tools and seamless data flow can add value throughout the building lifecycle - from design to management.

By integrating BIM models directly into property management systems, both technical operations and contract management have access to up-to-date, unified data and detailed visual overviews. Among other things, this enables work orders to be linked to specific building components, such as a light switch or a ventilation system, directly in a BIM model. Operational technicians and contract managers can thus work from the same area data, master data and relevant information, promoting seamless interaction and reducing the risk of errors.

Bård Einar Torjessen from CuroTech presented how they work with Fazile to make property management easier and more efficient. CuroTech is Norway's largest supplier of full-scale property management systems to the private market and has been developing its solutions in-house since 1998.
The integration with Fazile will ensure that the right information is available at the right time, e.g. when tenants move in and out, and enable statistics and module-based solutions that give customers complete flexibility.

Data, AI and analytics

Markus Boug and Petter Torgersen from BDO took the trip to talk about data and AI in the real estate industry - and how, for example, data from Fazile and Xledger can be extracted into something they have called the real estate package. They talked about how insight, analysis and reporting are important for overview and control of the portfolio, and also mentioned an AI property management agent that monitors and checks various data sources to answer questions and provide correct data.

Jørgen Baardsen and William Vagle presented Fazile Analytics - a data platform developed between Fazile and Fraktal. The platform provides the real estate industry with everything from basic reports to advanced analytics, operational insights and machine learning. The ambition of Fraktal? To be the best competence partner for its customers.

Fazile news and future initiatives

Fazile ended the professional part by talking about tips and tricks, new launches, presenting how we can use AI in the platform, and taking requests from the participants so that we get more insight into what customers want us to focus on and what we can do to further develop Fazile.

Fazile's developers are working at a record pace and during the summer, when everyone else has been on vacation and lying on the beach, they have been working on big news. We have received several insight reports and there will be more in the future. Available today are revenue analysis, pure roll on web, contract analysis, store sales and liquidity analysis. But don't worry - just around the corner are common costs, deposits and guarantees, options and vacancies, etc.
A major launch is our property dashboard. Here you get insight and a lot of useful information on each property, which has been requested by our customers and we are very pleased with!

We conducted a survey with the participants and the results give us valuable insight into what matters most to you. They clearly indicate that we are on the right track, but that there is room for improvement.

The survey shows that improving existing features and developing new ones that simplify property management are most important to our users. Among the most requested new features are more reports, upgraded floor plans and more flexible tables. Customers also want better support through chatbots, the ability to track development cases and simpler contract management processes. As we look ahead to 2026, we at Fazile will listen to our customers and one of our goals is to fulfill several of their wishes.

The day ended at Proud Mary with afterwork and more informal conversations!

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the customer day a success. We're already looking forward to building on this initiative and welcoming you to the next gathering.
